Minnasan... konbanwa.. as it is midnight here in Japan.. no longer Xmas..
But I hope Xmas is great.. and your New Years, too!
I am now officially on vacation.. so I will get on a train tomorrow and spend my holiday in Tokyo! YAY!
Unless I find an internet cafe.. I will MIA.. so if you know my cellmail addy.. mail me! Otherwise.. I will post again next year.. and will soon have internet access in my apartment! YAY again!

Hahaha..
I WILL make a new journal one of these days.. probably next year..
I am alive.. in Japan.. working all the time.. non-stop.. teaching tons of lessons..
And LOVING IT!
I have no internet.. my home has no phone line connection.. so I will see next year about getting internet..
I am cheating and using work computer.. BAD ME!
I wanted to tell you I am alive and okay..
My students are awesome.. my coworkers rule.. my manager is great. I am super lucky!
Everyone thinks I am japanese, so shopping is an adventure.. going anywhere is an adventure.. when people get confused about why I do not speak to them.. and why I look confused when they talk to me..
I got lost on the train one time.. it was funny and sad at the same time.. but I whipped out enough Japanese to get back okay..
I ride a bike to work.. mebbe 10 mins.. my apartment is huge.. I sleep on a tatami mat floor with a japanese style futon.
I am only a 15 min walk to Lake Ushiku.. but like a 5 min bike ride..
And I have NO FREE TIME..
I will go to Kyoto in 2 weeks for vacation.. and also spend NYE and NY in Tokyo..
I will try to email everyone.. including people here in Japan once I have a moment..
I miss you all!!

i am completely addicted to bittersweet moments.. have been all my life.
perhaps that's why lost in translation doesn't seem sad to me.. it's a beautiful movie.
and i'm not in japan.. but i am having an utter lost in translation moment.
i have been good about not crying.. but i'm feeling overwhelmed!
kimberlee.. you just had to break that dam, didn't you? :)
last night: i had so much fun.. just being silly.. with such amazing people: ani, chris, leonard, charles, james, jess, katy, meg, hyung-shi, taiwanese crew, et all..
today: wonderful yummy goodness with jess, noell, kimberlee, neal and andre. then to the gallery with chad, megan, anne, greogory, todd, celina, jenny, and dan. i thought about staying out, but i don't think my lil heart could handle anymore faces, moments.. no more for this evening at least.. i'd burst with my inability to handle all these emotions and wear myself out..
so.. i'm thinking of starting packing.. of taking a step closer to closing the chapter of seattle.. but it might just be me, sitting in my room listening to music.. crying, smiling, laughing.. writing, thinking so much.. remembering.. living.. loving.. like i could close my eyes and sleep forever in this happy, lost, bittersweet state (but of course not, because i'm ready to absorb more experiences in japan)...
I love the fact that I'm moving. I'm excited.. I'm scared.. I'm soooo ready. I'm going to get lost in myself.. I'm going to be able to close my eyes and absorb the energy around me, without feeling so dead.
But I'm leaving behind so many beautiful people.. that i've connected with on so many levels. Even those that I have met but briefly.. I have been touched and changed dramatically. I feel energize by them to go forward...
possibilities.. finally going onwards and not backwards..
thank you.. thank you all so much.. it means everything to me.. it means so much..
i'm in love with life.. these are the moments worth living for..

i checked my timesheet since Monday, and I've worked about 34 hours on the clock, but total of more like 36 hours in 3 days.. throw on the other 12 hours on Sunday.. I AM EXHAUSTED!
My lovely brother was nice enough to carpool with me this morning so I could work here at the photolab.. I didn't think it was wise of me to drive at 7am after a tiring 4 days in a row.
And even my days off are kinda booked.. haha.. today working in the lab, then home for a nap, then to the library for more grammer books, and miyabi's 2nite for dinner..
Tomorrow.. morning is kinda open, but dinner with a friend i haven't seen in ages..
Saturday.. work until afternoon.. then afterwards sewing party???
Sunday.. I start the 4 days in a row of working open-close again.
Next weekend.. Canada working trip inorder to get to Japan.. yikes!
I'm sleepy.. but I feel like I'm wasting precious time sleeping (wow.. that's a speed addict sorta comment).. it's all about the powernaps..

that's right.. i've decided against going to scortching hot weather, no running water, camping trip.. etc. etc..
i'm going to stick around and work.. and work some more..
but tomorrow i am off work! and this weekend as well.. except i work friday morning and possibly sometime sunday..
FINALLY!!
but i gotta wake up at 6:30am.. and then head to work at the photolab until 11:30am..
sleepy.. bored.. wanna play..

Yay!! After getting stuck at work all day, I got to eat pie!!

Unfortunetly I must return to work again tomorrow.. c'est la vie!
And tis Father's Day, so it'll be super busy and I'll be working 13ish hours... :(
I don't get a full day off till next Thursday, but then I work at school in the morning...
It was soooo pretty out today! I was feeling a mixture of happy/sad..
happy that is was nice out.. i love summer nights, where you feel like you could just freeze yourself in that carefree sort of moment and wish you could stay that way forever.. perpetually floating in unprovoked joy..
sad that i am rapidly leaving things behind me, and getting left behind..
bittersweet sad.. because life continually likes to throw it in my face that nothing lasts forever and that good things go away real fast.. that no matter how much you care and try to keep things close to your heart.. they will vanish..
but i suppose that's what helps makes things beautiful, how ephemral they are..
anyways.. i think i just wanna make myself crazy happy this summer for a few more months, before i know things will change dramatically in my life.. before i let this me disappear and fade into another me..
my baby's single should be out soon, meaning my preordered cd will be on its way from japan and into my home.. along with somemore yummy images of miyavi-goodness ;)
ps.. why am i so wired and awake still????

uhh.. it goes without saying nowadays that i basically just work.. all the time.. even on my days off, i somehow end up at one of my work locations, and end up working..
although this week, i abandoned two of my shifts.. tonight and tomorrow morning (but I have a work meeting to go to anyways tomorrow), since i believe i am coming down with the flu.. i missed the first wave of the epidemic, so of course i'll have to get the second wave.. it's not too bad yet.. just bodyaches, headaches and slight fever.. when the nose starts running badly is when my capacity is extremely limited..
Oh.. I need opinions on laptop purchases..
I am buying a Dell laptop, then getting a desktop when I get to Japan.
It's a toss up between the:
Inspiron 600m or the
Latitude D600
I'm looking for a total price range of $1500-$2000.
Anyone know anything??

B'z concert last night was a nice departure from the daily toils of life.. Nina, you're company was much appreciated!! We should've bugged the B'z followers from Japan to spread the word that Seattle needs a visit from Dir en Grey ;). Bauhaus afterwards was nice, too!
So the B'z.. gotta give props for the energy of those old guyz ;).. and the cuteness of the crowd. Enjoyable experience..
And then.. awake until 3:30am studying, rising at 6:30am to take 2 midterms in the morning (kinda iffy on how I did).. and school.. finally bailing on the entirety of my last class in favor of coming home to veg and eventually SLEEP.. which I still have yet to do.. I think the deliriousy awake factor has hit in.. and will not end until probably sometime next week..
Tomorrow, class, JET meeting, work..
Friday work, then the beginning of 48hours of filmmaking..
Where are my cute jrockers to help me through this!!! ;)

Konnichiwa Tomodachis!!
So next weekend, i will not be sleeping a wink, as I am part of UW's Pioneer 48hour Dvd making competition.. starting Friday night, until Sunday night.. it's non stop writing, filming, editing, etc. etc.. all to make a wonderful 5 minute movie that will enter a competition against other national schools..
Soooo... I was wondering.. *looks at her DJ/Producer/Musically talented friends*.. we need music that people have made on their own (cause of the whole copyright, film festival level music thingy).. who are willing to donate sound to our movie..
Now, I have no idea what kind of sound we need, since we don't get to hear our movie synopsis until Friday night, and we don't have a script until we write it after hearing about our synopsis Friday night.. so I just want to have a library of sound available to us for usage...
Granted, we have no $$ to pay you.. maybe I can bribe you with taking you out to dinner?? And your name will lovingly be added to our credits.. and possibly have a lil bio of you on our Dvd features page...
wanna help?? got a mix of self produced sound? Available next weekend?? Willing to get a phone call at odd hours of the day/night from me?? Got some sound files in digital form?? Lemme know!!

Again, we have no idea what our story is yet.. and what kind of spaces we need.. but it would be lovely to have things open to us quickly, since we only have 48hours to finish.. filming will be done mostly all Saturday, starting probably around Noon until odd hours of the night.. Again.. willing to bribe you with dinner!!!

I got my DvDs in the mail today.. you got free time Saturday perhaps? I skimmed them, and it's kinda fun in an 80s rock kinda way ;)
I have insane amounts of reading, homework, etc.. midterms next Wednesday, JET meeting next Thursday, and working on a movie next Fri, Sat, Sun.
Still lacking sleep..
But due to receiving some of the DvDs I ordered in the mail today.. I got caught up in my addiction.. *twitch* *twitch*.. MmmMmmMmMm... :D.
Okay, I seriously need to finish this article, finish a novel, type a response paper, do my Astronomy homework..

I took on an added job at work..
the Seattle location opens in November, and I am going to be a trainer for the servers there.. so that means driving to Pacific Place, paying for parking, and working long hours and teaching new people.. but I agreed to this only because new stores always make good tips :D. And it should only be for about 3 weeks or so.. but it's also during school...
Am I crazy or what? haha..
But I need $$.. since I work minimally now, because of school.. and I just spent $$ on a lot of Jrock Dvds (btw nina, ordered some B'z stuff so we can watch to prepare.. let ya know when I get it in the mail!).
Okay.. errands then spending the rest of my weekend reading, studying, doing homework...

bought textbooks today.. $300 poorer..
this quarter is going to SUCK..
I will be spending every free moment not in school or at work reading, as I have 16 novels for 2 english classes to finish in under 10 weeks, as well as taking 2 other classes..
ahh yes.. i believe i will not be sleeping this quarter..
coffee addict to be for surez.. unfortunetly uwajimaya stopped carrying my favorite japanese canned coffee.. *sobs*

so almost recovered from sickness.. but not fully.. still have stomach pains (but I can eat solid food w/out puking now) and slight feverishness.. but getting better! yayness (just in time for school.. haha)..
Nina.. bought us two tickets for the B'z show at the Showbox Oct.21 on a Tuesday night at 9pm (so reserve that date!!).
Jess.. bought us two tickets for the Zebrahead show at the Showbox Oct.29th on a Wednesday night at 8[m (so reserve that date!!).
So.. my computer is down so I have limited internet access until it gets back up.. I'm going through w/drawls since I haven't been online for the past few days.. and prolly won't be online much n e wayz cause of my intense schedule of school and work..

ughhhhhhhh.... i'm sick..
Flu like symptoms.. but mostly my body is completely sore, slight fever, nausea and I have no energy.. only a lil bit of a stuffy nose.
Last night I felt like I was burning up, and when I woke up to pull the covers back on, I felt like i had NO energy to even lift my arm.. sucky!!
No work today, thank goodness.. so lots of soup, anime and sleep..
Hopefully I'll be up in shape tomorrow for work.
In good news.. I went shopping at uwajimaya on Sunday, and randomly picked up the Japanese free newspaper thingy.. and I saw the add that the B'z are coming to the Showbox on Oct.21st. Granted, I'm not a huge fan of them.. and they are kinda poppy sounding.. BUT.. I still am going.. I mean how often to Japanese artists even make it out of Japan??? Uhh.. like once in a blue-moon.. *pssss.. Nina... I know you wanna go with me ;)*
Okay, back to curling up in bed, trying not to vomit up soup, and watching DVDs.
